Cittaslow Community Events Committee

The Cittaslow Community Events Committee arranges a varied programme of events throughout the year.  These always include the summer carnival, and a Christmas event to coincide with the switching-on of the town's Christmas lights.  Full details are regularly posted in the Events Calendar. 

Apart from a proportion of the Cittaslow Co-ordinator's salary, the Town Council does not allocate precepted income to fund events.  All must be self financing and self supporting, through fund raising, sponsorship and donations, plus the income from the monthly craft markets. 

Membership of the Cittaslow Community Events Committee includes representatives from the Town Council, a wide range of community organisations, and individuals who are interested in their community - more members are always welcome, contact Paul "Smudge" Smith on the town council office telephone number, or by email to events@aylsham-tc.gov.uk

3rd April 2010                    Music Night in the Town Hall with 'Barry Lee' - tickets now available  from J. Christian Jewellers in Red Lion Street, cost £5 per person.  See Events Calendar for more information

4th July 2010                     Carnival this years theme to be 'The Good Ole US of A'

23rd October 2010           Quiz night in the Town Hall

3rd December 2010         Switch on of the Christmas Lights and Christmas Tree Festival
